Truck Goes Over Retaining Wall, Crashes Into Parked Car

Canton, GA -- A teenager escaped serious injuries in a bizarre crash Monday afternoon in the parking lot of a fast food restaurant.

Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services and the Canton Fire Department responded to the crash around 5:30 p.m. Jan. 11 at Burger King at 1700 Marietta Highway.
Crews arrived on the scene and found a Dodge Ram truck had “gone over the retaining wall at the old K-Mart parking lot...and struck a parked car in the Burger King parking lot,” said Cherokee County Fire spokesperson Tim Cavender.

The 16-year-old driver of the truck was not injured, but Cavender said he “complained of having a headache” following the crash.
The 22-year-old owner of the Ford Focus, who was the manager of the Burger King, was inside the restaurant working at the time of the accident, Cavender said.
The Ford Focus received significant damage to its passenger side. No other injuries were reported, and the accident remains under investigation.
