Around 3 a.m. Friday, a corporal with the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office on patrol witnessed two men, Anthony Lawson and Adam Crivello, ”rummaging through a vehicle” parked at the Bradshaw Farms subdivision pool, Lt. Jay Baker said in a press release.

As the corporal, Alex Azaroff, approached the suspects, one of the men -- Crivello -- ran into the nearby woods, the sheriff’s office said.

Lawson was placed into custody while a perimeter was set up by responding deputies to locate the second suspect.

Crivello was caught a short time later, Baker stated. A small amount money deputies believe was taken from the vehicle was found in one of the suspect’s pockets, Baker stated.

Both men, charged with entering auto, remain at the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center. Bond for Crivello, who has an additional charge of obstruction of an officer, was set at $6,700 while Lawson’s bond is $5,700.
