Woman In Critical Condition Following Head-On Collision

Canton, GA -- A motorist was rushed to the hospital in critical condition following a head-on collision Tuesday afternoon in Cherokee County.

Crews with Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services responded to the crash just after 1 p.m. Dec. 15 on Cumming Highway at Water Tank Road in the Macedonia community.
According to an initial summary released by the Georgia State Patrol, a 2014 Nissan Versa was traveling westbound when the driver, Judith Nicole Price, 33, of Cartersville, ”steered left, crossed the center line and struck a 2015 Toyota Corolla head-on.”

The driver of the Nissan, who had to be extricated from the vehicle, suffered deep cuts on various areas of her body, said Cherokee County Fire Captain Fred Dobson.
The driver of the Corrolla, identified as 24-year-old Alpharetta resident Omar Goldwin Clarke, 24, was conscious and alert when crews arrived on the scene.
Both motorists were transported to WellStar Kennestone Hospital for treatment. As of Tuesday afternoon, Cherokee County Fire said Price was listed in critical condition.
