CANTON GA -- The Canton Police Department is asking residents to help them track down a woman they say tried to steal thousands of dollars worth of personal hygiene products.

Officers responded to the store at 1550 Riverstone Parkway around 9 a.m. Dec. 22 and met with a loss prevention officer who "observed a female placing a large amount of items in a shopping cart."

This suspect, according to police, tried to leave the store without buying the items in the cart. The loss prevention officer tried to stop the suspect, but she fled the store on foot.
