Canton residents looking to pick up a few items on the cheap are encouraged to check out Cherokee High School’s upcoming community yard and book sale.

The event will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17 at the school, which is located at 930 Marietta Highway in Canton.
Items will be ”reasonably priced,” and hardcover books will go for $2 while paperbacks will sell for $1, according to the event’s flier.

All proceeds from the sale will go towards the school’s efforts to upgrade and replace its electronic sign along Marietta Highway.
To donate items for the event, contact the school’s front office at (770) 721-5300. In the event of rain, the sale will take place inside the school.
