Young Citizens Police Academy Starts May 30 In Holly Springs
The academy is designed to educate and enlighten teenagers about the functions and duties of the modern police officer.

HOLLY SPRINGS, GA — The Holly Springs Police Department is preparing to host its 2018 Young Citizens Police Academy, which will begin May 30. The academy is designed to educate young people 13 to 18 years old about the duties and functions of the 21st century police officer.
These interactive sessions focus on various aspects of the department. including criminal investigations, uniform patrol, crime trends and dangers, K-9 and motor unit operations, domestic violence, styles of policing, and methods to remain strong in a dangerous world. Class members will participate in problem-solving scenarios and hands-on crime scene investigations.
All applications for the Young Citizens Police Academy must be received by May 18. Please note that space is limited.

"All of us are concerned with the safety of our neighborhoods and future of our children," Holly Springs police said. "The Holly Springs Police Department Young Citizen Police Academy offers a unique opportunity to re-commit ourselves to the interest and values that affect all of us as neighbors in the Holly Springs community."
The YCPA is offered free through the support of the Friends of Holly Springs Police Foundation and the Holly Springs Police Department.
