Hi neighbors, I'm Roy, a local here in Carrollton.
My friend Amanda and I are reaching out to the community today because we know firsthand how exhausting it can be to navigate a world built for constant noise and superficial small talk.
We are starting The West Georgia Neurodivergent Fellowship—a completely free, intentional community for mature adults (40+) right here in Carroll County who are ready to move past isolation.
Because of how hard it is for people on the autism spectrum (or those who are otherwise neurodivergent) to start and maintain friendships and partnerships, we are creating a group just for us. Whether your goal is to finally unmask, share your hobbies, build a reliable circle of friends, or perhaps discover a meaningful romantic connection, this predictable sanctuary is designed to let real relationships breathe.
Instead of loud venues or high-pressure social events, our meetups are centered around sensory-friendly, low-stimulus options. We are currently organizing gatherings like:
☕️ Quiet Café Connections: Calm, low-stimulus coffee shop chats.
🌲 Companionable Nature Walks: Slow-paced, peaceful outdoor movement.
🎨 The Artisan Table: Quiet afternoons for writing, drawing, or crafts.
💻 Tech & Parallel-Play: Bringing your own quiet project to work on, or diving deep into early home computers (I can talk about Commodore 64s and retro tech for hours!).
📚 Library Sanctuaries: Serene afternoons at Neva Lomason Library.
🎲 Collaborative Tabletop Games: Simple, cooperative, lighthearted interaction.
OUR ENVIRONMENT & VALUES:
This fellowship is a safe haven. No loud crowds, no flashing lights, and zero high-pressure expectations. Whether you want to find a lifelong circle of understanding friends or quietly meet a kindred spirit who shares your depth and faith, you are welcome exactly as you are.
Cost: 100% Free
Location: 710 Rome St, Carrollton, GA 30117
