• Man surrenders after four-hour standoff with police (douglascountysentinel.com) — Villa Rica police say a 60-year-old local man was arrested Wednesday after allegedly threatening a neighbor with a knife and barricading himself in his Jada Lane home for about four hours. Multiple agencies, including SWAT teams from Douglas and Carroll counties, responded before officers entered the Liberty Pointe residence and took him into custody; additional charges are possible.
