Plane Crashes In Bartow County Neighborhood

Two people were injured when a small plane crashed in a neighborhood in the western Bartow County town of Euharlee. Kathleen Bergen, communications manager with the Federal Aviation Administration, said a Cessna 172 aircraft with two people on board crashed into a subdivision in the town west of Cartersville around 1:50 p.m. April 18.

Georgia House Election Winner: Polls Open As Trump Tested In District 6 Race

As election day progressed around Georgia's 6th District on Tuesday, voting issues plagued some polling stations and candidates appealed to voters on social media for more turnout as much of the nation watched. Even as evening storms threatened, a steady stream of voters were reported going to the ballot boxes around the 6th District, an affluent cross-section of the Atlanta suburbs encompassing parts of Cobb, DeKalb and Fulton counties.

Mother and Child Choking Victims Identified By Police

Gwinnett County Police have identified the 2-year-old boy and his mother who were choked to death in a brutal attack Sunday at their Buford home. Cole Nation, and his mother, 30-year-old Natalie Nation, were killed in an attack at a home on Tybee Drive. Brandon Williams, 32, of Buford has been charged with felony murder in the attacks.
