Heather McDonald's Funeral Service Set For Dec. 10
The Cartersville mother's body was found Sunday, Oct. 30 in Haralson County, nearly six weeks after she was reported missing.
CARTERSVILLE, GA -- A funeral service to honor Heather Dianne McDonald, the Cartersville wife and mother whose body was found last month in Haralson County, will be held next month.
The service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10 at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, McDonald's obituary states.
Her family will receive friends before the service from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Dec. 10 at the funeral home.

According to her obituary, McDonald was born Sept. 9, 1989, and is survived by husband, Stefan McDonald of Cartersville; daughters, Olivia, Molly and Nova; mother, Lisa (Frank) Chatman of Cartersville; father, Tim Formby of Butler, Tennessee; and sister, Madison Chatman of Cartersville.
"Heather was a devoted, loving mother and wife," the obituary states. "She enjoyed playing tennis and going to Gatlinburg."

The remains of McDonald, who was initially reported missing in September, were discovered by hunters Sunday, Oct. 30 on abandoned property along Coppermine Road in Haralson County.
Following the discovery, the Haralson County Sheriff's Office requested the assistance of the GBI, and the remains were positively identified as belonging to McDonald on Wednesday, Nov. 2. The GBI told Patch McDonald's cause and manner of death are "pending further testing."
McDonald, 27, was last seen in the area of US-411 and I-75 in Cartersville around 7 p.m. Sept. 18. Her vehicle, a red Jeep Wrangler, was located in the parking lot of the Courtesy Inn at 2335 US-411 the morning of Sept. 19.
The GBI, Cartersville Police Department, Bartow County Drug Task Force, Bartow County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI Atlanta Field Office had been working diligently to find McDonald since her disappearance in mid-September.

The FBI continues to offer a reward of up to $20,000 for information about the death of Heather McDonald.
