Cartersville Mom Now Missing For 6 Weeks
Heather McDonald was last seen Sept. 18 in the area of US-411 and I-75 in Cartersville.
CARTERSVILLE, GA -- It's been six weeks since anyone has seen or heard from Cartersville resident Heather McDonald, but local and state law enforcement officials aren't giving up in their search for the missing wife and mother.
The Cartersville Police Department's probe into McDonald's disappearance remains active and ongoing, said agency spokesperson Lt. Mike Bettikofer.
"Through the investigation, the agency has followed several leads and continues to follow up on all information brought to our attention," he said.

The case has garnered the attention of the FBI and Georgia Bureau of Investigation, and both agencies are offering assistance to the local police department in its search efforts.
The FBI has also offered a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the "recovery of Heather Dianne McDonald and/or the identification which leads to the conviction of those involved in her disappearance," the agency previously told Patch.

McDonald, 27, was last seen in the area of US-411 and I-75 in Cartersville around 7 p.m. Sept. 18 wearing yoga pants and a tank top. Her vehicle, a red Jeep Wrangler, was located in the parking lot of the Courtesy Inn at 2335 US-411 the morning of Sept. 19.
The vehicle was unlocked and the keys and McDonald's belongings were still inside.
McDonald is described as a white female, about 5'2" tall, 105 pounds, with brown eyes and wavy, shoulder length brown hair. Anyone with additional information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers Atlanta at (404) 577-8477.
