Man Shot Outside Gas Station in Bartow County

ACWORTH, GA -- The Bartow County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting that took place over the weekend in the southern part of the county.

Crews with the county's Emergency Medical Services responded along with other agencies to the shooting, which was reported Saturday at a gas station along Glade Road.

One man with multiple gunshot wounds was found at the scene, said Bartow EMS spokesperson Brad Cothran.

That patient was "quickly stabilized" and transported to WellStar Kennestone Hospital for treatment, he added.

Investigator Jonathan White with the sheriff's office said the agency will not be releasing additional details about the incident at this time.

This most recent shooting follows an apparent drive-by shooting that injured a woman on Mac Johnson Road in Cartersville and another male who was shot in the leg and abdomen outside a motel on Joe Frank Harris Parkway.
