Stolen Chick-fil-A Van Found In Cobb County
The abandoned van, which suffered moderate to extensive damage possibly due to a hit-and-run, was found in an Acworth neighborhood.

CARTERSVILLE, GA -- A catering van that was stolen last week from a popular fast food restaurant in Cartersville was located Wednesday morning in Cobb County. That's according to the Cartersville Police Department, which said the 2016 white Ford Transit Connect van was found parked in the road in a neighborhood in Acworth.
Spokesperson Lt. Mike Bettikofer said moderate damage was observed to a vehicle in the driveway as well as moderate to extensive damage to the van.
"The homeowner came outside and observed the damage to his vehicle, found the van abandoned in the roadway and called police," he added.

Acworth police ran a check of the van's license plate, which came back as stolen out of Cartersville. They contacted their counterparts in Bartow County, and those detectives are now perusing the van for any evidence that can be used to track down a suspect. Lt. Bettikofer said that person is unidentified at this time.
The van was taken around 9:45 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 5, but the restaurant didn't report the van stolen until Wednesday, Nov. 8 because "no one was sure if the van was not being utilized by an employee," an incident report states.
