Celebrating the highly anticipated release of his forthcoming second album, entitled Mercury, Evolve! Artists Live & Southwest Arts Center presents the album release concert of Atlanta-based jazz saxophonist and producer, Darryl Reeves. He has toured and recorded with notable artists including Roy Ayers, Frank McComb, Julie Dexter, Kirk Whalum, Jill Scott, Russell Gunn, Angie Stone, Toku. Most recently, he has had the opportunity to collaborate with Janelle Monae, Malcolm Jamal Warner, Phonte, Jhelisa & B.O.B.
The Mercury album is a vivid blend of jazz-funk, inspired by Herbie Hancock and other 1970s jazz musicians.
