Melvin Ricks, attorney and author of Die before you die will present a book signing and discussion on his experiences with bipolar and severe depression. He practiced law in the Atlanta area for 18 years before falling victim to mental illness.
Ricks describes the first half of his book as “comical” as he “stumbles and bumbles” his way through life and the “Rat Race.” However, the book turns very serious when he becomes ill and loses everything that he worked for, and nearly loses his life. Come hear about the realities of mental illness and how one man is coping with it. All programs are free and open to the public.
