The Atlanta Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated to Host Its 37th Annual Health Fair, Fun Walk…featuring Stepp Stewart from the Dr. Oz Show
Atlanta, GA - (April 16, 2016) – The Atlanta Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated will host its 37th Annual Health Fair and Fun Walk on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Greenbriar Mall. The Fun Walk is scheduled from 8:00am – 9:00am with a warm up with Stepp Stewart beginning at 7:30am. The Health Fair will begin immediately afterwards from 10:00am – 2:00pm.
In collaboration with the Morehouse School of Medicine’s Master of Public Health program, the City of Atlanta Fire Department, and the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety, the health fair will provide education on cholesterol, diabetes, high blood pressure, and more with free health screenings. More than 70 vendors will provide information on health education including breast, ovarian, and prostate cancer as well as Alzheimer’s disease, physical fitness and wellness programs. Entertainment is provided for children and adults of all ages.

The Atlanta Alumnae Chapter, under the leadership of its president Carol D. The chapter supports the needs of high school seniors with annual scholarships. In 2011, the chapter was the top fundraising team in Georgia for the 19th Annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s, raising more than $20,000 to help find a cure for this disease that affects nearly 5.4 million Americans.
