The Atlanta Humane Society along with District 12 Atlanta City Councilmember Joyce M. Sheperd and District 6 Fulton County Commissioner Joan Garner sponsor Pet Education Day at .  The community residents were given an opportunity to come out and get pet information, get pets vaccinated, get routine pet checkups, and even have their pets microchipped, all free of cost.  The goal of the event is to increase spaying and neutering efforts and educate the public regarding pet care and responsibility. On Saturday, April 25 from 9am to 12 noon in the Ben Hill Fellowship Hall, the "Make It Make Cents" workshop will cover home ownership with info from Invest Atlanta on programs to help with down payments, and how to protect your assets through fraud awareness, including protection laws that cover homes and other property, and more. The workshop is FREE and will be held in-person.
