Spelman College Museum of Fine Art hosts the Atlanta Premiere of Maren Hassinger's "Women's Work"
Spelman College Museum of Fine Art and the Women's Research and Resource Center host the Atlanta premiere of Maren Hassinger's Women's Work

In a special collaborative effort, Spelman College Museum of Fine Art and the Womenβs Research & Resource Center will host the Atlanta premiere of Maren Hassingerβs meditative performance Womenβs Work Friday, March 20, at 7 p.m. During the performance Hassinger, a sculptor, performance artist, and the director of the Rinehart School of Sculpture at the Maryland Institute and College of Art, and others will repetitively manipulate newspaper, alluding to sewing, knitting, and other forms traditionally labeled womenβs work. The performance is held in conjunction with the Womenβs Centerβs 14th annual Toni Cade Bambara Scholar-Activism Conference.
