• Chamblee launches new curbside composting program for residents (wsbradio.com) — Chamblee has launched a new curbside composting service that lets residents add food scraps and other compostables to a separate bin collected alongside regular trash and recycling for $19 a month. Through a partnership with CompostNow, the city aims to cut landfill trips, expand recycling options, and return finished compost to local gardens and farms across metro Atlanta.

• Pet of the Week: Investigate the adoption of Detective Landslide (appenmedia.com) — A sweet, shy-but-snuggly dog nicknamed Detective Landslide is waiting for a new home at DeKalb County Animal Services on Chamblee Dunwoody Road in Chamblee. The 5-year-old pup comes neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, and the shelter also welcomes fosters or Dog for the Day outings if you can't adopt permanently.
