• Empty Bowls Luncheon raises over 70k for Middle GA families. How you can get free food or help (macon.com) — Middle Georgia State University's recent Empty Bowls Luncheon in Macon raised over $70,000 for the Middle Georgia Community Food Bank, with handmade bowls created by students from both the Macon and Cochran campuses. Cochran residents facing food insecurity can use the food bank's online locator or SNAP outreach contact, while those able to help can donate money, nonperishables, or volunteer time.
