The animals were in "deplorable" condition, according to law enforcement.

CUMMING, GA -- Deputies executing a search warrant in north Forsyth County on Wednesday found 27 dogs in a home, being held in what authorities called deplorable conditions.
A spokesman for the Forsyth County Sheriff’s office said the warrant was obtained after authorities got information from an area hospital about a person who showed up with unspecified injuries.
At the residence, on Franklin Goldmine Road off of Canton Highway, deputies found at least one dog dead, according to sheriff’s office spokesman Epifanio Rodriguez.
