$40K Worth Of Sunglasses Stolen From Sunglass Hut In 4 Minutes

CUMMING, GA -- About $40,000 worth of sunglasses were taken March 31 from the Sunglass Hut off Peachtree Parkway in just four minutes, according to an incident report.

The report said an alarm went off for glass breaking around 2:46 a.m. A deputy arrived at 2:50 a.m. and noticed the glass front door had been smashed in. Deputies said the business was ransacked and sunglasses were scattered on the floor.

The cash register had been tampered with, but was still there, according to the report. An employee arrived at the scene and said she was not sure how many pairs of glasses were taken, but based on her observation it totaled around $40,000 worth of inventory.
