5 Must-Know 2016-2017 School Dates in Forsyth County

CUMMING, GA — It's hard to believe that school has been back in session for more than a month in Forsyth County.

With Labor Day come and gone, and things really getting cranked up in the classroom, here are five important dates to keep in mind for the next few months of the 2016-17 Forsyth County Public Schools calendar.

• September 26-30: Fall break (no school)
• October 19-20: Early release, elementary and middle schools
• October 21: Professional development (student holiday)
• November 21-25: Thanksgiving holiday
• December 20: End of first semester
