American Proteins gifts $9,000 to Lanier Technical College Foundation

American Proteins recently provided the Lanier Technical College Foundation a check for $9,000.00 to go towards the Bagwell Family Foundation Fund for students at the College. Tommy and Chantal Bagwell have provided this fund for Lanier Technical College students for the past eight years.

The check was presented to Lanier Technical College, President Dr. Ray Perren and Lanier Technical College Foundation Executive Director Cris Perkins, just prior to Thanksgiving by American Proteins Division Manager, Jonathan Green.

“The friendship and support that Tommy and Chantal Bagwell show our college each year is extremely humbling,” Dr. Perren said. “The lives of Lanier Technical College students they impact each year with their support and generosity is staggering. It is an honor to have the Bagwells and American Proteins as part of our family. At this time of Thanksgiving, weour Lanier Technical College faculty, staff and students are very thankful for Tommy and Chantal Bagwell.”

Over the past eight years, through the Bagwell Family Foundation Fund, the Lanier Technical College Foundation was able to support over 150 students in continuing their education.

The mission of Lanier Technical College is workforce development. Thestudents that receive the Bagwell Family Foundation Fund are able to continue their educational pursuit. This leads to employment upon graduation, and allows Lanier Tech to provide them job training and prepare them for the workforce to fill employers’ needs.
