Forsyth County said damage from Hurricane Irma needs to be cleaned up before the parks are safe for the public to visit.

CUMMING, GA — Two popular outdoor destinations in Forsyth County have been shut down as crews work to clean up damage from Hurricane Irma.
County officials announced Wednesday that the Big Creek Greenway and Sawnee Mountain Preserve are closed.
"The county will work to get them reopened for use as soon as possible," Forsyth officials said in a Facebook post. "In the meantime, please avoid these areas to ensure your safety and allow crews to perform their cleanup work."
