Cindy Mills Snags Another Endorsement
The Forsyth County Tea Party endorses Cindy J. Mills.
Now that the field has been narrowed to just two candidates, the Forsyth County Tea Party (FCTP) has endorsed District 4 County Commissioner candidate Cindy J. Mills, according to a recent announcement by the party.
Mills will be facing incumbent Patrick Bell in a run-off on Tuesday, Aug. 21, due to the outcome of the recent primary. Mills received 44.16 percent or 2,538 votes and Bell 26.71 percent or 1,535 votes.
This decision is based on a review of the incumbent’s voting record and actions on the Board of Commissioners over the past four years including, a review of the previous debates held by both the FCTP and the Forsyth County GOP, and an internal vetting process.

The FCTP believes that Mills is more closely aligned with the principles and values of the Tea Party movement and brings a wealth of previous county service experience and knowledge to the table.
The announcement goes on to say, "She has the temperament that is required to analytically evaluate the important issues faced by the Board of Commissioners and to work amicably with the other commissioners, county departments and the public to determine the best course of action for the benefit of the county residents."
