The City of Cumming will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Cumming City Center this Friday, Jun. 24, at 10:00 a.m. The event mark's the end of the center's construction phase, while a separate grand opening celebration is planned for August. Stop by 423 Canton Road this Friday to witness the festivities! (City of Cumming)
  2. The next Coffee with a Cop event will be held today at Sexton Hall Enrichment Center at 10:00 a.m. This monthly program is hosted by the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office and focuses on community awareness for older adults.   3. Kelly Fuchs will be joining Coal Mountain Elementary this upcoming academic year as the school's new principal. Fuchs holds a degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education from North Georgia College and State University. She most recently served as an assistant principal at Silver City Elementary.   4. A local company has patched several high-severity vulnerabilities in its products after security holes were exposed. The Cumming-based company AutomationDirect says the vulnerabilities in its programmable logic controller (PLC) and human-machine interface (HMI) products have been fixed with the release of firmware version 6.73. The vendor says it has also added protections against brute-force cybersecurity attacks to help users mitigate risks. (SecurityWeek)
