CMX CineBistro Halcyon Set To Open Sept. 27

CUMMING, GA — CMX Cinemas has announced the upcoming opening of CMX CineBistro Halcyon and new-to-market CMX Stone sports bar for the Alpharetta community to enjoy starting Friday, Sept. 27. The third CMX CineBistro location in Georgia will open at 6215 Town Square in the new Halcyon development – offering an intimate experience with in-theater dining, cozy reclining love seats and a redefined sports bar.

“CMX CinéBistro is known for its unmatched dinner-and-movie experience, and we are eager to open our doors to Alpharetta, South Forsyth County and the surrounding communities,” said Javier Ezquerro, COO of CMX Cinemas. “We hope to become Alpharetta’s preferred entertainment destination with something for everyone – from the chef-prepared menu, hand-crafted cocktails and the ultimate sports-watching experience at CMX Stone.”

The 37,762 square-foot theater will feature 10 screens and range from 67 to 89 lush oversized reclining leather love seats and foot rests in each auditorium – all featuring the latest projection technology on curved high-gain screens with Christie Digital 2K projectors, RealD 3D and a digital 7.1 sound system. Moviegoers will also notice minimalist details and innovative design throughout the theater.

Guests can order from a chef-driven American Bistro menu – prepared in the scratch kitchen by in-house chefs – and unwind at the immersive bar, featuring signature cocktails by talented mixologists, as well as a premium beer and wine selection. The multi-functional theater is also available to rent for VIP movie screenings, corporate events, celebrations and special occasions.

In addition to the upscale movie-watching experience, CMX Stone sports bar will be located in the lounge of the theater and was conceptualized to enhance guests’ social experience, utilizing the latest trend in design. Whether visiting CMX CineBistro Halcyon to watch a movie or the big game, sports enthusiasts will discover a redefined experience to watch their favorite teams on giant LED screens, while also enjoying chef-prepared food options, signature handcrafted cocktails and an extensive list of wine and beer.

CMX CineBistro Halcyon will be a 21 and over theater for all shows beginning after 8 p.m. Guests three and above will be welcome for all shows 8 p.m. or earlier and must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 21. Proper ID will be required. To enjoy in-theater dining, guests must arrive 30 minutes before showtime.

Halcyon, the 135-acre mixed-use development in Forsyth County, will open on Wednesday, Sept. 18.

Halcyon is located at 6365 Halcyon Way off Exit 12 on Ga. 400. Some tenants may open prior to Sept. 18.

The $370-million, 135-acre community weaves together nature, design and leisure into one place, with more than 50 acres of green space and access to the Big Creek Greenway.

The construction of Halcyon's first phase, including a 160,000-square-foot retail village, 38,000-square-foot luxury dine-in cinema and Market Hall has exceeded 80 percent of completion. As of March, more than 660,000 bricks were laid, more than 8,000 cubic yards of concrete was poured, and more than 1,500 light fixtures were installed across the development.
