Volunteers Needed for Initial Cleanup Phase
CUMMING, GA — A new community initiative aimed at serving adults with special needs is coming to Cumming, GA and local volunteers are gathering to help make it a reality.
Bennett’s Bridge, located at the site of the former Freedom Mill site is set to become a dedicated facility and resource hub for the special needs community. Once fully operational, it will provide tailored programs, support, and a welcoming space for participants and their families across Forsyth County.

- Time: 10:00 AM (expected to last roughly two to three hours could be longer depending the support)
- Location: Bennett’s Bridge 2730 Spot Rd. Cumming, GA (the former Freedom Mill site)
Members of local congregations and community organizations, including area churches, are coming together to assist with cleaning, organizing, and cleaning up the property to prepare the facility for opening the doors and other upcoming renovations.
How You Can Help
Organizers are asking for volunteers from around the community to spend a couple of hours assisting with light labor, trash clearing, and site cleanup.
