CrossFit Dynamo Partners with LinderKids to Offer Fitness Mentorship Program for Foster Children in Forsyth County

Cumming, Georgia – July 14, 2015 – CrossFit Dynamo and LinderKids, LLC are pleased to announce that the LinderKids program for foster children is now available in Cumming, Georgia and the surrounding area.

LinderKids, a non-profit charity based in California, works with CrossFit Affiliates to sponsor memberships for foster teens to participate in CrossFit Teen programs. Foster teens in the program not only experience the benefits of learning about and becoming increasingly fit but they also become part of the CrossFit Dynamo community where they are mentored and held accountable to their coaches and each other. Teens in the program must agree that in return for their CrossFit scholarship, they will maintain good grades in school and do community service to “pay it forward”. Scholarship recipients actually sign a contract with LinderKids who provides the scholarships.

“This may very well be the most important service we’ve been able to bring to the Cumming community to date”, says owner and head trainer of CrossFit Dynamo, John Manser. “Our passion for helping others attain better physical and mental fitness will be taken to a new level as we engage with this special population. This program sits in a special place for me as my step-dad came up through the foster program. I get to honor all he gave me by helping others following his path.” says Manser. Teens in the LinderKids program at Dynamo will have the opportunity to attend classes 2-3 times per week and participate in a strong supportive community with positive role models and influences.

CrossFit Dynamo is a CrossFit affiliate located in Cumming, Georgia. CrossFit Dynamo opened its doors in June 2012 with the Youth Program being spearheaded by Karl Funderburg with support from his wife, Kimberly. CrossFit Dynamo serves families and individuals of all ages and fitness levels. Dedicated classes for children and teens are offered and taught by certified and background checked CrossFit Kids trainers. LinderKids, LLC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charity based in San Diego, California that is dedicated to bringing fitness to foster children across the United States. Founder Ashley Linder, a former foster child, began LinderKids in southern California in 2013. Their goal is to bring some normalcy to the lives of foster children through CrossFit and the community that surrounds it.
