Here are the top stories in Cumming today:

  1. Funnel cakes! Ferris wheels! Caramel apples! The Cumming Country Fair and Festival has arrived. From Oct. 6-16, the fair will feature live music, games, rides, attractions and shows, farm animals, local entertainment and carnival eats. The fair will be held at Cumming Fairgrounds, 235 Castleberry Road. The times are 4-10 p.m. Monday-Thursday; 4 p.m. - midnight Friday; 10 p.m.-12 a.m. Saturday; and 12:30-9 p.m. Sunday. (Big Tickets)
  2. Cumming City Center will host its first community concert Friday, Oct. 21 at 7 p.m. when Pink Floyd tribute band Interstellar Echoes takes the stage at Lou Sobh Amphitheater. Admission and parking are free. Food and beverage trucks will be on site. The amphitheater is located at 423 Canton Road. (Forsyth County News Online)
  3. Chick-fil-A at The Collection, 430 Peachtree Parkway, announced on its Facebook page that starting Oct. 9, the restaurant would be closed for a store remodel. The restaurant said it will post a reopening date on its Facebook page. (Facebook)
