Cumming Named One of Georgia's 'Most Charming Towns and Small Cities'
The city's "beautiful lake and mountain peaks on its doorstep" were cited by experts with TravelMag.

CUMMING, GA — Are you charmed by Cumming? If so, you're not alone.
An online travel magazine has named Cumming one of the 10 "most charming towns and small cities in Georgia."
TravelMag asked 50 travel writers, photographers and other professionals to name the places in Georgia they consider most appealing. They were asked to pick thee places, in no particular order, with only towns and cities between 3,000 and 50,000 residents considered.

The 10 Most Charming Towns and Small Cities in Georgia list was compiled from the results.
Cumming's geography, the Cumming Playhouse and a busy roster of festivals and fairs were cited as among the city's charms.

The list reads:
"With a beautiful lake and mountain peaks on its doorstep, visitors can discover adventure at every altitude in Cumming. Situated north of Atlanta on the 'Hospitality Highway,' the town’s centrepiece attraction is Sawnee Mountain Preserve, a 963-acre preserve with hiking trails, Indian Seats, tree canopy classroom, playground, picnic pavilions, climbing area and even an amphitheatre. For nocturnal pursuits, the Cumming Playhouse comes alive every night with live performances throughout the year, while the town also hosts a busy and diverse programme of festivals and fairs."
Cumming's 4th of July steam engine parade was also mentioned and pictured in a photograph.
