Cumming Planning and Zoning Now Responsible for Alcohol Serving Permits

Citizens who wish to apply for an alcohol serving permit n the City of Cumming must now do so through the city’s Planning and Zoning Department, the city’s website says.

Applications will only be accepted on Tuesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with a lunch break between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., the website says. The fee for applying for an alcohol serving permit is $20.

Applicants must bring their driver’s license and Social Security card with them to apply for the permit. The application can be completed in advance or at Planning and Zoning’s office in the bottom floor of Cumming City Hall.

People who fill out the application in advance must also bring a completed form authorizing the city to perform a background check.
