Ronald Lofland is believed to have shot his ex-wife and a man early Monday morning in Cumming.

CUMMING, GA -- The vehicle of a Cumming man accused of shooting his ex-wife and another man Monday morning has been found in Buford, authorities say.

The gold, 2003 Jeep Liberty was discovered Tuesday at about 6 a.m., abandoned at the intersection of Interstate 985 and Buford Highway, Forsyth County Sheriff's Deputy Epifanio Rodriguez said.

The shooting happened early Monday morning on Darla Avenue.

Investigators say they believe Ronald Lofland, 47, the female victim's ex-husband, shot her and another man in what they are calling a domestic dispute.

Authorities do not believe Lofland to be an immediate threat to public safety. But he may well still be armed, they say.

The male victim underwent surgery Monday morning. Both victims were listed in stable condition on Tuesday.

The Jeep was towed back to Forsyth County to be searched for evidence.

The sheriff's office is urging anyone with information about Lofland's whereabouts not to approach him andΒ to contact law enforcement immediately.
