Police Seeking Suspect in Double-Shooting in Cumming

Authorities suspect Ronald Lofland of shooting his ex-wife and another man.

CUMMING, GA -- Authorities on Monday were seeking a suspect in the shooting of two people in Cumming.

The shooting happened early Monday morning on Darla Avenue, Forsyth County Sheriff's Office spokesman Epifanio Rodriguez said.

Investigators say they believe Ronald Lofland, 47, the female victim's ex-husband, shot her and another man in what they are calling a domestic dispute.

Lofland was still at large Monday afternoon and believed to still be armed, Rodriguez said.

The male victim was in surgery hours after the shooting. The female victim was treated for her wounds at the hospital. Neither victim's wounds are believed to be life-threatening.

The sheriff's office is urging anyone with information about Lofland's whereabouts to contact law enforcement immediately.
