Drug Dealer Arrested In Forsyth With Drugs, 10 Fake IDs: Police
Michael Stamey, a known drug dealer in Forsyth County, was arrested May 2 after he fled during a traffic stop. Police found IDs and drugs.
CUMMING, GA — A well-known drug dealer by the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office was arrested May 2 after he fled during a traffic stop.
Michael Stamey, 48, of Cumming, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, forgery first degree, drug related objects, possession of a knife in the commission of a crime, tampering with evidence, and suspended driver's license.
On May 2, two Sheriff's Office undercover narcotic deputies recognized a known area drug dealer, identified as Stamey in an incident report, at a gas station off Hwy. 369 at Browns Bridge Road. Deputies knew Stamey had a suspended driver’s license, the incident report said. After confirming his license was suspended a traffic stop was attempted in the Walmart parking lot.

While being questioned about his ID, Stamey fled but quickly came to a stop once he was surrounded in the parking lot, the department said. He was ordered out of the vehicle at gun point, the report said.
Methamphetamine, drug-related items, and 10 fake ID cards with Stamey’s photo, but a false name, are among the items found.
