The International Day of Peace, set aside by the United Nations, will be observed in Cumming, Forsyth County, GA. Participants will march, on the side walk, at 9:45 a.m. to the City Hall.At 10:00 a.m. there will be a short program which includes Mayor Ford Gravitt. The City of Cumming, Mayor Gravitt, and the City Council, will be making a proclamation in honor of the event at their September Council Meeting Sept. 20, 2011.
This year's theme is "Make Your Voice Heard". Our voice will cover four (4) points of concern: Environment, Economy, Jobs and Jesus.
The International Day of Peace is a non-political event crossing all boundaries and divisions.
