CUMMING, GA — After a former spokesman for the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office was sentenced in March to 10 years of probation, he has now violated his sentence after deputies said they found contraband in his home.

In March, Frank Huggins, 76, was charged with felony sexual assault by a teacher and misdemeanor sexual battery after he was found guilty of groping a 16-year-old girl, according to media reports.

He was arrested again on Tuesday, April 30 for violating his probation, which is a felony according to the Sheriff's Office. Huggins was ordered to complete 120 hours of community service and pay $1,355 in fees during his probation, the AJC reported.

Huggins served as a sheriff's captain and a spokesman for the sheriff's office before retiring in 2010. The charges stem from a 2016 incident when he was a driving instructor at Lanier Technical College, media reports say.
He was accused of inappropriately touching one of his students, a 16-year-old girl. Sheriff's deputies confirmed the teen's allegations with video footage recovered from the vehicle, the AJC reported.

Judge Jeffrey Bagley presided at this week's bench trial, which was postponed numerous times, the Forsyth County News reported.
