  3. Forsyth County Sheriff's Office is notifying residents to be aware of a pine straw scheme. The scammers come to the door and offer to lay pine straw throughout your yard for a price per barrel. After they finish, they claim it took more bales than usual and charge hundreds or thousands of dollars more than they quoted. FSCO received reports that two males were in the area of Kelly Mill and Chamblee Gap Roads on August 4 around 2 p.m. FSCO is reminding residents to avoid unsolicited offers and hire only reputable professionals. (Forsyth County Sheriff's Office).
  4. North Georgia Premium Outlets is hosting its back-to-school denim drive, Do Good with Denim, to support sustainability and positively impact the community. In collaboration with United Way of Forsyth County, North Georgia Premium Outlets invites shoppers to drop off their denim-exclusive clothing to be recycled. Customers will be able to contribute any type of denim apparel items to the Do Good with Denim drive. Jeans, jackets, shirts, skirts are all accepted. All donated denim products will then be sent to United Way of Forsyth County, where they will be donated to local families in need. Additionally, shoppers who sign up for email alerts during the Do Good with Denim Drive will have the chance to win a $25 gift card to various North Georgia Premium Outlets retailers (Premium Outlets).
