Habitat for Humanity - North Central Georgia held a Dedication Ceremony for the Beras family recently to commemorate the completion of construction of their home located at Leigh Lane, in Forsyth County. It was a beautiful morning and everyone who attended the ceremony was moved by the family’s joy and gratitude. “We are truly blessed to have been selected for this Habitat home,” stated Mr. Beras. “I want to thank all of the sponsors and volunteers who helped make our family’s dream come true.”
The home was built in partnership with Edward and Magali Beras, who have two young children, Abigail and Elizabeth. Edward has been employed for the last four years as a technician for a local computer company. The family was referred to the Habitat program by their pastors, David and Joyce Smith, from the Secure Foundation Bible Church, where Edward and Magali are members.
Also in attendance at the ceremony were representatives from the sponsor groups who contributed both the funds and the volunteer labor to build the home. These sponsors include: ADP, Alcon, Bank of North Georgia, Cisco, Citrix Systems, Garrard Construction, Dana & Wanda Karschner, PCL Industrial Construction Co., Santi & Associates, State Farm Foundation, Siemens, SR Homes and the Villas at Canterfield.
