Forsyth Man Guilty of Murdering Girlfriend's Son
Frank Eugene Huffman was fighting with James Tanner Conrad, 25, when he pulled a gun on him last year.

CUMMING, GA — A Forsyth County man has been found guilty of murdering his girlfriend's adult son in a fight last year.
Frank Eugene Huffman was convicted Thursday in Superior Court of felony murder and aggravated assault.
Huffman, who was 57, had gotten into a fight with 25-year-old James Tanner Conrad -- his girlfriend's son -- at a residence on Quail Hollow Road in south Forsyth County on January 7, 2015.

During the fight, Huffman pulled out a gun and shot Conrad once, according to the sheriff’s office at the time.
Deputies responded to the home and found Conrad in the living room. He was rushed to North Fulton Hospital, where he died.

Huffman had been living with Conrad's mother for about 12 years, authorities said. They said alcohol was believed to be a factor in the shooting.
Huffman's sentencing is scheduled for October 18.
