Forsyth Sheriff's Office Swears In New Deputies

Three new deputies are joining the force — two of them coming from other law-enforcement agencies in the metro Atlanta area.

CUMMING, GA — Three new deputies joined the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office recently.

A swearing-in ceremony for the new deputies was held on June 3.

Deputy M. Simon comes to Forsyth from the Roswell Police Department, where he worked for 11 years. He also spent 20 years in the U.S. Army and is an Operation Desert Storm veteran. He will be joining Forsyth's enforcement division.

Deputy J. Jeon joins the sheriff's office from the Duluth Police Department, where he worked for two years, and the Gwinnett County Police Department, where he worked for six years. He holds an associate's degree in business and a bachelor's degree in criminal justice and will be joining the enforcement division.

Deputy T. Bateson is starting his law enforcement career with the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office.

"Welcome aboard," the sheriff's office said in a Facebook post. "We are proud of the experience we are bringing in and the knowledge we get to impart!"
