Here are the top stories in Cumming today:

  1. A free clinic servicing low-income residents and those without health insurance is coming to Forsyth County. The Forsyth Community Clinic will provide free, non-emergent healthcare to qualified low-income residents ages 18 to 65 years old. Those age 65 and up with no Medicare coverage are also eligible. The clinic is opening Saturday, Oct. 29 from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. at The Place of Forsyth, 2550 The Place Circle. (NewsBreak Original)
  2. The Vietnam Veterans of America Cumming Chapter 1030 got into the Christmas spirit this week and purchased 60 bicycles for The Place of Forsyth's Holiday House Program. Members met at the Walmart Supercenter where they bought and delivered the bikes to needy boys and girls. The chapter budgets for this program every year and was able to purchase 10 more bikes compared to the 50 it donated last year. (VVA-1030)
  3. Fall is in the air and Cumming City Center is hosting a Fall Fun Day today from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Check the schedule of events as there will cupcake decorating, family karaoke, arts and crafts, live music and a pie eating contest. There will also be free swag bags for the first 100 customers. (Cumming City Center)
  4. Who's ready for a fall festival? The Great Pumpkin Fest will be held today from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. at Cherokee Veterans Park, 7345 Cumming Highway. There will be food, axe throwing, hayrides, bounce houses, a petting zoo, a pumpkin launcher, crafts and more. Don't forget to wear your costume as there will be a costume contest at noon.
