Free Stranger Danger Class Offered By Sheriff's Office
The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office is offering a free "Stranger Danger" child safety program Wednesday, Feb. 28 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

CUMMING COUNTY, GA – The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office is offering a free "Stranger Danger" child safety program Wednesday, Feb. 28 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Fowler Park, located at 4110 Carolene Way, Cumming.
This class is open to the public and requires registration. The course is designed to educate children, ages 4 through 11, about various precautions they should take so that they are less likely to become victims of the various crimes against children.
This program will allow each child the opportunity to learn about specific techniques that they can employ if approached or seized by a stranger. The Stranger Danger program is simple to comprehend and non-threatening for small children, thus allowing children as young as age four to participate.

Deputies accomplish this by utilizing “what if scenarios” supported by role playing. This seminar is designed to allow children to have fun while at the same time being educated about this important subject. The program will cover the following areas:
Who is a good and bad stranger, and how do you know which person is good or bad?
What do you do if you are lost in a store?
What do you do if a stranger approaches you?
What do you do if a stranger grabs hold of you?
What do you do if a stranger approaches you while in a car?
