North Forsyth High School will serve as the site of a fundraiser on Tuesday evening for a Forsyth County sheriff’s deputy who was injured in the line of duty late last month.
Deputy Anthony “Tony” Hodgkins was struck and seriously injured by a car while directing traffic in front of Coal Mountain Elementary School on the morning of Oct. 27. He was treated for serious but non-life threatening injuries, but will likely need surgeries to fully recover.

The fundraiser for Hodgkins will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. inside the school cafeteria and will feature live music, a silent auction, and a spaghetti dinner and desert, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution says. Admission for the fundraiser is $5.
Although Hodgkins is receiving worker’s compensation benefits, the fundraiser will go towards the family’s medical bills and living expenses.
