Human Remains Discovered in Gainesville

Police were investigating the discovery, off of Jesse Jewell Parkway, Friday afternoon.

GAINESVILLE, GA — Human remains were discovered Friday in a vacant, wooded lot in Gainesville, according to police.

Gainesville Police Department investigators were still on the scene, near Jesse Jewell Parkway and Dorsey Street, Friday afternoon.

Police spokesman Sgt. Kevin Holbrook said foul play has not been ruled out.

No other details about the investigation were immediately available.
