Husband And Wife, Both 91, Die In Cumming Crash

CUMMING, GA — A husband and wife died Thursday in a single-car crash after their vehicle left the roadway and overturned at Flowery Branch Road, the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office said Friday.

Deputies responded around 1:30 p.m., when they found the two people in the car. Authorities said the couple died at the scene.

Alice Jackson, 91, was driving a white 2021 Cadillac XT4 west on Flowery Branch, when the Cadillac started to drift from the road at Shadow Lane. Authorities said Jackson overcorrected, and the Cadillac left the road before overturning and landing on top of an embankment.

Her husband, 91-year-old Jimmy Jackson, was also killed in the crash, authorities said.
