The Laura Stephens Agency and Meals By Grace Initiate Charity Drive to Provide Food for Hungry Families in Forsyth County

The Laura Stevens Agency, a locally owned full service insurance firm with offices serving Cumming Georgia and the surrounding areas, is announcing a joint effort with Meals By Grace, a local charity that provides nutritious food to underprivileged children and families.

Meals by Grace is a non-profit ministry dedicated to assisting children and families who are without the means to feed themselves. Recent statistics report that Georgia has the nation’s fifth highest food insecurity rate, and Meals By Grace works with local schools to identify and provide for undernourished children as well as their families.

Meals By Grace programs include a school lunch complement that improves nutrition, a food pantry that provides free and low cost meals to hungry community members, and a hot food delivery service for individuals and families that lack access to transportation.

“We are consistently impressed with the hard work and dedication of Meals By Grace volunteers,” says Laura Stephens, owner and manager of the Laura Stephens Agency. “We’re asking all the members of our community to come together and help us as we team up with Meals By Grace to provide food for hungry children.”

Working from an extensive personal and professional contact list, Stephens and her team are creating relationships with community members, businesses, and social groups in an effort to raise awareness of the growing hunger problem Georgia is facing. Efforts are underway to build an online portal via social media that will be used to draw in even more support from surrounding communities.

In addition to assisting Meals By Grace provide food to hungry families in Cumming, the Laura Stephens Agency works with several other local charities as party of an ongoing community improvement campaign. Stephens and her team are committed to assisting at least one new local charity every sixty days in the months to come.
