CUMMING, GA -- The Forsyth County Animal Shelter was on the receiving end of a big check as part of a local middle school's recent day devoted to helping others.
Students from Piney Grove Middle School chose the shelter as one of three local charitable organizations to receive $1,000 donations during the school's sixth-annual Grizzly Great Day of Giving, that took place last Friday.
On that day, 22 students from Piney Grove volunteered their time at the shelter, helping staff clean the facility and fold newspapers used in animal crates.
