New Drug Task Force Partnership Established By Forsyth Sheriff

A multi-agency Drug Task Force has been formed that includes the Johns Creek Police, Alpharetta Public Safety and Forsyth Sheriff's Office.

CUMMING, GA — A new multi-agency Drug Task Force has been formed that includes the Johns Creek Police Department, Alpharetta Department of Public Safety and Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office. This collaboration, called JCAF Drug Task Force, brings together these three agencies who will focus on dealer level narcotic investigations. The task force is comprised of 18 agents who are committed to combatting drug sales in our areas.

Born from conversations between Chief Robison of Alpharetta PD, Sheriff Freeman of Forsyth County SO, and Chief Densmore of Johns Creek PD, the JCAF Drug Task Force will be able to move freely between all three jurisdictions while conducting investigations.

Chief Densmore of Johns Creek Police said that, “this is a needed alliance that will make investigating, arresting, and ultimately prosecuting these cases in our area a streamlined, effective process. This task force is a win for the citizens of all three jurisdictions involved.”

Alpharetta’s Police Chief Robison added “I am extremely grateful for our partnership with the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office and the John’s Creek Police Department. We are already reaping the benefits of combining our resources in an effort to eradicate the issue of dealers bringing narcotics into our jurisdictions. Ultimately, the JCAF Task Force will help keep all of our communities safe.”

Now in full force, the JCAF Drug Task Force has already made their presence known to area drug dealers and have arrested three large scale dealers who were primary suppliers to local high school students. Sheriff Freeman of Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office noted, “we all knew that those dealing drugs in Forsyth were also likely dealers in Johns Creek and Alpharetta. It was imperative that we worked jointly to keep our communities safe. Together we are stronger than we are alone. Our communities are safer today because of this partnership. “
